If you feel your health concerns are urgent, please inform reception staff when you telephone to make your appointment. There is high demand for appointments, however, we will do our best to fit you in with a clinician as soon as possible, but it could take up to two weeks.
If your cell number is in our computer system, you will usually receive a reminder text the day before your appointment. Please let us know if you change your number. DO NOT RELY ON TEXT MESSAGING TO ATTEND YOUR APPOINTMENT plse note the date and time so you remember to attend.
Non Attendance or Late Cancellation (UNDER 3 HOURS NOTICE)
If you are unable to make an appointment, please phone us as soon as you are able (minimum 3 hours notice to avoid a DNA fee) so that we have the time to offer this appointment slot to other patients who may need it.
A $19.50 ‘DNA’ (did not attend) fee is invoiced to your account for appointments that are cancelled with less than three hours notice, or for non-attendance.
Prescription requests will be dealt with within 24-48 hours of leaving a message. When collecting your script from the medical centre we require payment at time of pick up please.
A $3.00 FEE IS CHARGED FOR FAXING, THEN POSTING (Legal requirement) YOUR SCRIPT TO THE PHARMACY OF YOUR CHOICE
Sending repeat prescriptions to your pharmacy over the phone may be possible if your health is stable and you have been seen within the last three months. Please phone and leave a message on the prescription line answering machine.
Reception staff no longer take prescription requests over the phone. When you leave a message on our script line, it is important you give us the following information:
-Full name and date of birth
-The repeat medications you require
-The pharmacy you would like these to be faxed to and your contact telephone number
If you have not been seen by a clinician in the past 3 months, we may ask that you make an appointment instead.
